Online Education

Rutgers University was first established in 1766 as Queen’s College in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Renamed Rutgers University in 1825, it became New Jersey’s state university in 1956. Rutgers is America’s eighth-oldest higher learning institution, and has taught thousands of students throughout the United States. The research has educated some of the nation’s finest minds, including Pulitzer Prize winners.

Rutgers is highly respected worldwide, but for those not able to attend the University in person, there is an opportunity to benefit from the university’s high-quality education online.

The online university provides an important environment to anyone wishing to participate in further education such as a high school diploma, a Bachelor or Master’s degree or other professional certification. An important benefit of studying via Rutgers University Online is the flexibility it offers, enabling students to learn at a time that is convenient to them.

Another feature of the Rutgers University Online is it enables students to learn at their own speed. By learning online in their own time, students are free to spend longer on more challenging sections of the course, which can enhance the learning experience.

Every student that signs up to the online university can benefit from the numerous tools that are available to help them learn; students can learn via videos, special simulations to bring education to life, participation in group projects; and an abundance of library resources, which will all help to make for a truly well rounded educational experience.

Online classes are kept small to guarantee a high quality education and students can get one-to-one teaching, if required. Rutgers online courses include Master’s courses in social work, business and public administration and library and information services; a variety of others are also available.
