Begin a college career at Full Sail University

Full Sail University is located in Orange County, Florida. Originally established back in 1979, under the name Full Sail Recording Workshop, it is now a university nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). It offers associates and bachelor’s degrees, as well as master’s degrees in film, audio, design, business, computer animation and other entertainment-related fields. It currently offers a total of 49 degree programs, as well as 2 graduate certificates, with a total student population of about 16,000 at any one time.

 

Full Sail University offers accelerated programs. Full Sail programs take half as long to complete as a standard program. For instance, associate degrees take about 12 to 13 months, rather than two years; the bachelor’s degrees can be finished within 20 to 36 months instead of the usual four years. Master’s programs are completed in only 12 months. These degree programs are offered monthly and usually take four weeks. The students take an average of two courses simultaneously.

 

Student Campus Life

 

Full Sail University does not have its own dormitories on-campus. However, there is a housing department, which works in coordinating housing and arrangements of roommates. The accommodations are located within a 4-mile radius from the campus, and most of them are walking distance.

 

Students are free to participate in various clubs and organizations that have been created toward media and entertainment industries. There have been several notable people who graduated from Full Sail University, with some of them making it to the Hall of Fame of the university.

 

The university implements technology-driven type of learning for both online and campus students! After graduation, the students have great opportunities in working for the entertainment industry, following the footsteps of the other successful alumni from the school.
